Short Board “Pro & Amigos” Models for ‘08

// November 17th, 2007 // 2 Comments » // news, shortboard, surfboard models

shortboard modelAhh yes the almighty shortboard, how I love thee. Oh how we relish each breath of specialization put into these little jems, huhumm….brian product testing

Anyhow, the ‘08 Model short boards will feature designs derived from team and amigos feed back from surfers like Tommy O., Alek P., Sean T., Rylan M., Mark D., Shea L., and even me, Brian T. So keep an eye out for the new “Named” models and there design breakdowns, here on the site, ok?

Back to what matters, RANT, I’ve always designed my short boards to lend themselves to what the rider has in mind as far as executing their moves on a wave, ie, I want you to be able to put the board where you want to and so on.product testing

Speed and forgiveness have always been a tough marriage of sorts , but I feel that the designs for the up coming year will help these components thrive harmoniously under foot; trust me.

Again check back for the design segments on the Short Board “Pro & Amigos” Models for ‘08 here and only here.

Love, BAT

Sun Fish Quad

// November 16th, 2007 // No Comments » // quad, surfboard models

We have been doing quite a few Quads recently, pictured here is our Sun Fish Quad (and our web guy Brennan).

sun fish quadIt is a shorter wider style quad board with a single concave too slight “V” hull. For instance, a 6′0” would run about 20” wide, about 2 3/8” thick, and would be ridden by some one in the 175 lb. -195 lb. range, these boards come in either epoxy or polyester with your choice of fin system.

The polys are priced around $500 factory direct/ custom because of the extra fin ( not a tri which would run about $480).

We do also have an more updated version of this board which will be featured during December which is a more short board like Quad, derived from work with Viking Surfboards teamer Sean Tubbs, so keep your eye out for that one then, and if you want more info on this one drop us a line.
